摘要：In this talk we discuss the first eigenvalues of closed hyperbolic surfaces for large genus. We show that for every closed hyperbolic surface                                               of genus , the first eigenvalue of is greater than up to a uniform positive constant multiplication. Here is the shortest length of simple closed multi-geodesics separating . Moreover, we also show that this new lower bound is optimal as .

报告人简介：吴云辉，清华大学长聘副教授，“海外高层次青年人才”入选者。主要研究方向为Teichmuller理论与几何，曾先后在Crelle’s Journal、J. Differential Geom、Math. Ann、Proc. Lond. Math. Soc 等国际知名数学期刊发表论文多篇。2012年博士毕业于美国布朗大学；2012-2016年期间担任美国莱斯大学的 “Evans讲席教师”；2016年至今任职于清华大学丘成桐数学科学中心。
